Program Name: Toddler 1

This month in Toddler 1, we have observed how much everyone loves to climb. To expand on this interest of risky play and gross motor development, we had a jungle gym bus come in for the morning. The children showed a lot of excitement when they saw the bus pull into the parking lot. They all put their faces against the window, pointed and said "bus!".

The excitement grew as we climbed onto the bus. Rian was so excited, he immediately went to the rock-climbing wall to climb. He said "me climbing". Emily spent a lot of time jumping into the ball pit and practising somersaults with Jess down the big wedge matt. Liam practised crossing the monkey bars with Chloe two times. He yelled "Chloe!", and would point to the monkey bars. while Chloe picked up and held onto him, he held onto the monkey bars and would try to hang or pull himself up with his arms. Easton, Melina and Jackson enjoyed running, climbing, sliding, and crawling on the big matts.

The bus provided a great opportunity for the toddlers to continue to practise their gross motor skills and help boost their confidence as they continue to grow.
