Mom and Dad in the infant room our educators always give us a sense of belonging as they care for our needs throughout the day. They recognize what we enjoy and take our cues, follow our lead and make us feel seen and heard. Today was no different. No matter how many times I want to read the same book over and over. They recognize that repetition is important and it helps with memory. Frosty the snowman has become a classroom favourite to read. I like the catchy tune and the fun illustrations. Today as Tami started to read and sing, everyone gathered around. All focusing our attention to the pictures in the book and Tami’s words as she sang the song. As I help to turn the pages I am building my fine motor skills. Sometimes those pages are tricky to turn, but as I do this more and more I am helping my fingers to get stronger. Maybe we could bring in my favourite book to read at school and I can share with my friends. Or maybe we could borrow Frosty the snowman and read it at home. Does that sound like a great idea?
