Program Name: Infant

On September 15th in our infant program, we celebrated International Dot Day with our little ones. We introduced them to the world of colors and encouraged their creativity.

We started the day by briefly introducing the concept of International Dot Day, emphasizing the idea that every dot can make a mark in the world. The infants were given wooden clothes pins to explore. These clips offered a variety of textures, including smooth wood and metal springs. The little ones were fascinated by the different sensations as they grasped and touched these materials.

As they held the wooden clips, we observed how they used their developing fine motor skills to manipulate them. They tried to open and close the clips. We dipped cotton balls in non-toxic washable paint and showed the infants how to use them to create colorful dots on sheets of paper. They watched with curiosity as we demonstrated and some even attempted to mimic our actions. While creating their dotted artwork, the Infants displayed moments of creativity. Some giggled in delight as they stamped the cotton ball on the paper, while others observed their colorful creations with fascination. This activity provided rich sensory stimulation as the infants engaged with the wooden clip textures, paint, and the visual appeal of colorful dots on the paper.

The room was filled with excitement, and all the infants had a wonderful time playing with colors and creating dots using cotton balls. It was a delightful celebration of creativity, and we look forward to nurturing their artistic endeavors as they grow.
