As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a creative and strategic Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our team.
About the Position:
We are seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator, 25-hours per week, to lead our marketing and communication initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving brand consistency, managing digital and print content, and engaging with diverse audiences including families, prospective employees, community partners and media. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a flair for design and a passion for promoting high-quality early learning and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels, including digital, print, and promotional materials.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
- Graphic Design: Create visually appealing designs for marketing materials using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Social Media Management: Plan, schedule, and execute a social media strategy to enhance our online presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
- Event Support: Collaborate on planning and promotion for community events, job fairs, and organization-led initiatives.
- Internal Communications: Support the development of materials that foster a positive workplace culture and effective communication within the organization.
- Website Maintenance: Regularly update website content to ensure it remains accurate, informative, and user-friendly.
- Media Relations: Assist in the development of key messages for media, public relations, and government communications; act as a point of contact when needed.
Potential for Growth While this position is currently 25 hours per week, there is potential for the role to expand to full-time hours (i.e., 37.5) as our organization continues to grow. If the role increases to full-time, it will provide an opportunity to take on more responsibilities and projects.

Base Salary: $25.55 - $27.55 per hour
Our core office hours are 9am to 3 pm, although you’ll enjoy flexibility to define your preferred schedule. You’ll find our office is conveniently located near the 7/8 expressway off Fischer- Hallman Road in Southwest Kitchener. There may also be opportunities for occasional remote work to support work-life balance.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum 2-year college diploma in communications, marketing, and/or graphic design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing communications role; experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset
- Understanding of the principles of consumer marketing and design.
- Marketing & Communications experience in copywriting and graphic design, and/or public relations is an asset.
- Understanding of new technologies
- Computer literacy in Mac platform, Adobe and Microsoft Office apps, social media and website management. Joomla experience is an asset.

Registered Early Childhood Educator
Salary Range:
- $28.82 - $29.82 per hour ($56,252 - $58,152 per annum). Includes a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant (PWEG) of up to $2/hour for in-ratio hours, based on the terms and conditions outlined by the Ministry of Education.
Job Summary:
- The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) collaborates closely with all other members of the program team to provide nurturing play-based early learning to support each child in realizing their potential while giving families peace of mind.
- Job duties are performed in accordance with RisingOaks' Program Statement, policies, values and beliefs, the Child Care and Early Years Act and the College of ECEs Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, under the supervision of the centre Supervisor.
- Under the supervision of a RECE, plan and implement a program that will meet the developmental, social, emotional and physical needs of each child.
- Under the supervision of a RECE, form and maintain a positive relationship with parents, co-workers, student teachers and professionals from other organizations.
