Annual General Meeting

Members, staff, and families who have enrolled their children with RisingOaks Early Learning Ontario are invited to join us on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:30 pm for our Annual General Meeting for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.
As a registered charity, RisingOaks Early Learning is governed by a volunteer board of directors. The Board and management are accountable to the members. This is an opportunity for members, other RisingOaks families and employees to engage with the board of directors, to receive updates on progress on our strategic plan and to ask questions.
The Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for fiscal year 2025 are now available for your review.
This virtual meeting will be held using Zoom Webinar. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, share comments and to speak directly to the board if you wish.
Members will be asked to vote on various motions as we transact the required business of the corporation, including the election of new directors. We'll also recognize and celebrate our employee long-service award recipients and thank outgoing board members.
Pre-registration is required to attend the AGM.

RisingOaks' By-laws provide any voting member in good standing (i.e., current with child care fees, if applicable) the option to cast their ballot at any membership meeting, either in person (including via video conference) or by proxy. If you are unable to attend the Annual General Meeting in person, please support the boar to ensure quorum by submitting a proxy in advance. Deadline is April 13 at 12 noon.

All those with a child enrolled in a RIsingOaks Early Learning infant, toddler, preschool before school and/or after school program are eligible to become a member of the corporation. Membership is per individual, not per family.

Per the By-Laws, the nominating committee conducted a thorough recruitment and selection process, including competency assessments and phone interviews to identify potential candidates.

Employee Awards Program
Each year we celebrate employees who - in the last calendar year - have completed 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years with us!
Awards are presented at our annual spring professional learning day and recognized at the Annual General Meeting of members.
The AGM provides a great opportunity for members and RisingOaks' families to show their appreciation to staff for their hard work and dedication to the organization.
