We are proud to employ registered early childhood educators (RECEs), early childhood facilitators (ECF), cooks, casual employees and management staff who are dedicated to life-long learning and have a passion for children.

RisingOaks' RECEs are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and in compliance with the Early Childhood Educators Act (2007).

With over 1, 200 licensed child care spaces, our educators provide high quality early care and education each and every day.  They are dedicated, passionate about children and simply love to teach!

Staff Qualifications

Whether you are a potential RisingOaks' employee or a parent just looking for more information, we are happy to provide an overview of our minimim staffing qualifications by position. The information below sets out the minimum standard, though many employees have additional qualifications such as an early learning degree, resource teacher certificate or other specialized training. In addition, all employees are required to completed professional development each year to stay current. Those registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators complete a Continuous Professional Learning portfolio. All employees participate in annual performance reviews with goal setting.

Supervisor

  • Early Childhood Education diploma or letter of equivalency
  • Registered member of the College of ECEs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator in a child care setting.
  • Experience as an Assistant Supervisor is a definite asset
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Training in environmental rating scale assessments for child care programs: ECERS-R, ITERS and SACERS

Assistant Supervisor

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or letter of equivalency
  • Registered member of the College of ECEs
  • Practicum experience in a child care setting gained through post-secondary program or equivalent.
  • Two years working experience is a definite asset.
  • Training in ECERS-R.
    • Training in ITERS and/or SACERS is an asset

Registered Early Childhood Educator

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or letter of equivalency
  • Registered member of the College of ECEs
  • Practicum experience in a child care setting gained through post-secondary program or equivalent.

Early Childhood Facilitator

  • General experience working with children in a group setting.
  • High School Diploma

Cook

  • High School Diploma
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • One year on the job food preparation training
  • Working knowledge of Canada's Food Guide
