Flexible options.
You can choose before school, after school, or both, and enroll your child 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week.
Learning through play with safety as a priority.
Every day in our before and after school programs, we ensure a smooth, safe transition between school, RisingOaks and home. Our educators are in communication with school staff and parents every step of the way.
As well, our educators are trained in standard first aid and CPR, the use of epi-pens, and other requirements of individual medical and/or support plans. Secure access is in place at each location.

All RisingOaks educators are registered members of Ontario's College of Early Childhood Educators and are committed to providing your child with the tools to develop positive relationships and discover their world through play, building on their curiosity as the foundation to becoming lifelong learners.
What does a typical day look like?
When the weather allows, we move outside, providing rich learning opportunities and fresh air. This is a time for large group games, cooperative play, nature walks, and science experiments. Children experience social interaction and creative learning together.
Inside the classroom RisingOaks learners work on projects and creative activities focused on their interests.
Nutritious morning and afternoon snacks are provided by our approved caterer daily. For PA days and camp, a Bag Lunch Policy is in effect.

Due to a sector-wide staffing crisis, RisingOaks has made the difficult decision to return our youth development programs (YDP) to the WRDSB. Families at the following schools who require before and after school care for the upcoming school year are required to register on the WRDSB One List for care.

Easy steps to registration
OneList is the place where all applications for licensed care in Waterloo Region are submitted. You can also come here to apply for financial help to pay for child care, and special needs supports. Applying is easy. Click on the button below to learn more about registration with RisingOaks Early Learning.
A supervisor will follow up with you by email. At that time, you will be provided with the full Registration Package to complete and finalize your child’s registration in the before and after school program(s). Please note that we require two weeks’ notice to process a new application. Providing less could delay your child’s start date.
