Creativity Through Play in School-Age 2

Print
Program Name: School-age 2

During this past month, children were encouraged to explore the world of art and creativity. Educators provided children with different art materials to bring their vivid imagination into action. There was a topic of discussion each week and children were led through the group discussions to enjoy their teacher led activities.  Children took pride in their success and achievement after each project.

Each child is unique and learning happens through play and creativity. We also had a day of Pink Shirt to remember that kindness is in one size which fits all. Children were busy holding a group discussion about kindness and how can we be kind to others. We created our mind maps collecting ideas together. We learned about respect, and our responsibility to become a positive and trustworthy member of our community. We had fun exploring techniques of art by using oils pastel and water colours. It was super fun.

We appreciate our outdoor time as long as the weather permits. Children enjoy running, playing and walking together. We continue to grow together. More fun to come!
