The Shiny Box Adventure

Print
Program Name: Infant

In a room full of giggles and excitement, the educators had a magical idea to create a special toy for our little ones. We took a simple cardboard box and covered it with shiny paper that sparkled like sunshine. The box had mysterious holes waiting to be filled with colourful popsicle sticks. The educators handed out the popsicle sticks, each one as bright and happy as a rainbow. The shiny paper made the box look like treasure, capturing the infants’ attention and sparking their curiosity. The box was like a shiny wonderland waiting to be explored. The shiny paper felt smooth and cool to touch, providing a delightful sensory experience. The infants explored the different textures as they touched the shiny surface and felt the smoothness of the popsicle sticks.

The real magic happened when the infants started putting the sticks into the holes. It was like a colourful puzzle waiting to be solved. As they picked up each stick and carefully placed it in a cut-out hole, their tiny fingers were working hard, developing those important fine motor skills. The infants aimed their sticks at the holes, practicing their hand-eye coordination as they matched the colourful sticks with the inviting gaps. Also grasping the popsicle sticks and fitting them into the holes helped strengthen their little fingers, promoting a better grip and control.
