Santa’s Visit

Preschool 2

This month at RisingOaks Early Learning | Saint John Paul II, the preschool 2 children had an exciting visit from Santa Claus in their classroom. The preschoolers eagerly prepared for Santa's arrival by cleaning and tidying up their toys. During Santa's visit, he asked the children if they had been good or on the naughty list. All the preschoolers proudly claimed to have been good, except for Jackson's dog, who he believed might not receive a gift from Santa. However, Jackson assured Santa that his dog was now behaving well. Jackson then asked Santa if his dog could still receive a present, to which Santa kindly agreed. Santa also asked the children if they would like to share a few gifts with their friends, which filled them with excitement. After unwrapping the presents, the preschoolers joyfully explored their new classroom toys. Jackson was particularly thrilled to find everything orange from each set. Miles carefully examined each toy before deciding which one to play with, testing them out along the way. Eli, Eric, and Oliver loved the wooden houses with colourful cubes and stacking stones. Nyra and Carleigh had a great time with the wooden rock stacking set, while Naomi enjoyed playing with the colourful shapes and stacking them together. Additionally, Parker, Allie, Violet, and Jackson loved the colourful see-through shapes, which they held up to their eyes to see the room and their friends in different colours. The preschoolers thoroughly enjoyed their new toys and took turns exploring them throughout the morning. This experience not only fostered their creativity and imagination but also enhanced their problem-solving skills as they figured out how to build houses with the colour cubes, stack the stones without them falling, and create rainbows using the curved blocks. Furthermore, it helped them develop their concentration and patience as they waited for their turns and focused on their play. The visit from Santa also implanted a sense of appreciation for their community, providing them with a happy and meaningful experience.
