Objectives: The preschool children wanted to explore and learn about how buildings were made.
We noticed that the children were building so many structures out of many different material around the room and outdoors. We wondered what it was about building that was interesting them. Through conversation we learned that they wanted to know how tall could they build, how could they put a roof on the structure, why don’t buildings outside fall down? This was the start of our two month exploration of buildings.
