This month the weather was perfect, and we noticed that a new grocery store had opened close to our centre so we decided to take a walk there with the infants to explore.
When we arrived at the store, the children’s faces lit up with excitement. There were so many new things to see, like colourful fruits and vegetables. We saw some fresh strawberries there so we decided to make waffles, we picked up everything we needed to make them.
After our fun adventure at the store, we came back to the centre. Together, we made waffles. It was so much fun! When the waffles were ready, we sat down and enjoyed our yummy afternoon snack. The children loved it and kept saying more.
Also, by connecting with local stores, the children felt more connected to their community.
It was a lovely day, children learned new things, they explored the community as well as made memories together.
