As our toddlers are settling into the Toddler 1 classroom, we are so excited to begin creating art experiences. We are excited to provide an opportunity for exploration and then we can display the children’s artwork in our classroom! Earlier this month the children were invited to come and explore a “Circle painting” art experience. For this activity every child was given their own piece of paper, different coloured paint, and a plastic cup. The children were encouraged to use the cup as a stamp in dip into the paint, and then stamp onto their page!
This activity gave the children an opportunity to practice their shape recognition skills, explore with different textures, and to support their fine motor development! It also helped foster the children’s colour recognition skills. We are excited to watch the Toddlers express their creativity!
