Colourful Snow Exploration!

Program Name: Preschool 2

This month in Preschool 2, we have been exploring the new landscape of our playground and bringing the frosty weather inside!

With all the snowfall we have had this winter already, our preschoolers have been so fascinated with the snow and the different way we can incorporate it into our play.

During the first big snowfall this month, we brought paint to our all white playground and experimented with colour mixing!

The preschoolers had a blast engaging with paint and water mixtures in a plethora of colours through different types of bottles like spray bottles, paint bottles, recycled soap bottles and so much more.

Encouraging any type of messy play, especially outside, provides so many opportunities for communication and problem solving, turn taking, but most importantly, collaboration between children. Often times. The children would offer to mix their colours with others, share their favourite colours with their friends, and create patterns on the frosty ground together.

We look forward to all the new learning that the winter season will bring us!
