Hello and welcome to the school Age Team 2!
We hope you all had a fantastic and relaxing summer. We are so excited to welcome you to our program this year! We are looking forward to an exciting year filled with fun, joy, discovery, and happiness.
This year, we will focus on learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Our program is designed to provide children with meaningful opportunities to develop the skills and confidence they need to enjoy their educational journey. Through a variety of fun and engaging projects and activities, children will be encouraged to explore, create, communicate, and learn at their own pace.
We have established our classroom agreement together as a group to help create a positive, safe, and respectful environment where everyone feels valued and included. We would also love to get to know each other better so that we can build meaningful relationships and have a wonderful year together.
Throughout the year, we will dive into many fascinating art projects, including colouring, painting, creative crafts, and even creating our very own class newspaper! We are also planning to start a “Book Club,” where our little minds can explore new topics while developing their literacy, vocabulary, communication, and language-arts skills through reading and discussion.
Another exciting activity will be our “Student of the Month” celebration. During this special time, children will have the opportunity to sit together and reflect on the achievements and experiences they have had throughout the month. This activity will encourage children to develop important life skills such as self-assessment, self-appreciation, forgiveness, honesty, reflection, and learning from one another.
Through our planned art projects and creative activities, children will have opportunities to express their feelings and emotions by turning their imagination into action. These experiences will also help strengthen their attention span, concentration, creativity, and ability to remain engaged in an activity for an extended period of time.
Children learn best through play and exploration, which also supports the development of both fine and gross motor skills. We will make every effort to provide a positive, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere where children can discover their talents, express their interests, and have their individual needs supported.
As the weather can change from day to day, we kindly ask that you provide your child with an extra pair of indoor shoes, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing for changing weather conditions and any additional clothing your child may need to stay comfortable throughout the day. Let’s work together as a team to guide the children along their fun and exciting learning journey with confidence, encouragement, and joy!
