Program Name: School-age 1

It's been a wonderful and busy start to a new school year. We are happy to see familiar faces and we are excited to welcome new friends into School Age One. These last couple of weeks have been filled with new experiences and routines as the children adjust to their new schedules. Educators Najia and Stephanie have enjoyed getting to know each child and have made observations of their developing interests.

The children have engaged in various indoor and outdoor activities this past week. With the warmer weather lingering, we have taken advantage of being outside. Some children have shown interest in building blocks, puzzles, and dramatic play with the ever-popular doctor kit. We have also observed that some children enjoy sensory play through sand, play-dough and paint. By observing the children’s interests, we can implement activities based on what the children enjoy. This will enhance their learning and creativity as we get to know their personalities. Our goal is to create an environment of kindness, trust and curiosity. We are thrilled for what's in store this school year!
