Their conversations were filled with joy as they eagerly shared their thoughts on Christmas stress and the gifts they hoped to receive, clearly enjoying every moment of their holiday discussions.3 preschool children shoveling snow

Over the past few weeks, we have organized a variety of engaging activities to spark the children interest, we created a snowy slide using shovels, hid an elf in the snow for the kids to discover, crafted beautiful snowflakes and made handprint Christmas trees. Throughout these activities, it was clear that the children were particularly excited to learn more about the elf.

We chose to dive into some tales about Elf on the Shelf. These activities not only boosted their skills but also sparked their curiosity about the age-old question “why does it always snow on Christmas?” this led us to search for videos that could shed light on this mystery.

While we were reading "The Elf on the Shelf," a line popped up asking, “How does Santa know if you’re good or bad?” One of the preschoolers chimed in, suggesting, “Maybe if we wear our listening ears, Santa will visit us, and we won’t end up on the naughty list.” This sparked a wonderful discussion about how Santa cares for all children, but emphasized the importance of listening so we can learn and grow.
