From One Little Bug to a Week of Big Learning!

  • Preschool 1

This month, the children’s fascination with bugs and insects grew into an exciting learning journey! It all began when Aster discovered a large longhorn beetle on the playground, with ants gathered around it. This sparked a wonderful collection of questions, theories, and investigations.

From creating our Mystery Beetle Investigation, to using magnifying glasses to observe different insects, comparing body parts, making bug investigator ID cards, and creating colourful bug paintings, the children have been busy exploring, wondering, creating, and learning together.

Along the way, they developed their observation and scientific inquiry skills, expanded their vocabulary, strengthened fine-motor skills, practiced cooperation and turn-taking, and used creativity and imaginative play to make sense of their discoveries.

What started as a tiny moment of curiosity became a rich learning experience — reminding us that sometimes the best learning begins with simply stopping to look closely at the world around us.
