Mom and Dad, our educators got really creative in the month of December, after putting together some furniture. There were lots of boxes, so they got creative and created a gingerbread village for our classroom. The village helps to build on our social skills as we engage in games with our peers and educators. Develop object permanence, helping to find people and objects that are hiding and have a space to be alone if we choose. Our educators had to lead by example to encourage us to play inside the houses. We engaged in their play, but weren’t to keen on the idea. Jen crawled in the gingerbread house and played peek-a-boo, with us. While Clara after sometime, pulled open the door, to find Tami hiding inside. Holly got a little adventurous and crawled behind and through one of the gingerbread houses, walking through the front door. That was the extent of our play. Maybe as the boxes stay in our room we will get more comfortable and explore a little more. What do you think we can create out of boxes that we may have a home?
