Colourful Shapes All Around Us

Toddler 2

This month the Toddler 2 children have been exploring all types of shapes. Shapes come in all different forms, from our bodies, furniture and the world around us. By making connections of the shapes that we live and grow with, the toddlers made curious thoughts and created building blocks to make a tower, walking bridge and solving patterns. As more ideas came along the way while exploring the world around us, we brought art into their exploration to bring colour to life. The toddlers used colourful shapes to paint, create and explore with. The toddlers engaged with learning the names of colours and identifying their senses, each moment there is a learning experience to extend. The toddler mind is growing each day, they are all creatures of their own curiosity and inspiration to embrace the learning journey.

The Toddlers are inspired to learn about what’s around them, their mindfulness keeps moving every moment for an experience of growth. From making connections with the colours they see each day then shapes that build our community and homes, having the opportunity to share these important factors of life shares great meaning to learning. Different connections are being made from identifying their learning skills and developing a special relationship to the uniqueness of the world that bring different opportunities to grow from.

The Toddler 2 classroom provides multiple opportunities for the toddlers to express their ideas of creativity, extend learning goals and support their inspiration to enrich their wonders. As educators, we learn so much from the toddlers and want to provide as much fun within their learning and help gain confidence for their brilliant skills.
