Discovering Our Neighbourhood

Preschool 1

As the weather is getting warmer, Preschool 1 has been enjoying the outdoors a bit more. We went on multiple walks this month to become more familiar with the neighbourhood around us. We are practicing walking holding rings to encourage independence and outdoor safety. The Preschool 1 children were very excited to use the rings to hold on to their partner, since it is much easier to hold on to them while wearing mittens.

One of the main safety concerns the preschool team likes to talk about during these walks is road safety. We talk about looking both ways before crossing roads, and making sure we are always aware of cars driving on the roads.

Preschool 1 is excited to continue doing our weekly walks and getting to know our neighborhood a bit more. Now that the snow is gone, we are excited to visit the forest, the neighborhood park and explore nature all around us!
