On December 1st, our Preschool program welcomed a familiar face, our classroom Elf! We named him Cookie, and although he brought holiday joy and cheer to our room, he seemed a bit lonely. So, with a little extra holiday spirit, Cookie decided to travel back to the North Pole to share his feelings with Santa. Expressing our emotions is something we encourage every day in our classroom, so it was no surprise that Cookie was so open about his feelings. Santa, being kind and understanding, decided to send Cookie a special buddy to keep him company for the holidays!
And just like that, we were surprised with TWO elves! What a wonderful surprise! Liam couldn't believe it, and Parker was absolutely ecstatic. “Let’s name him Noodle!” suggested Kairo. From that day forward, every morning, the children eagerly search for our two elves, wondering where they might be hiding and what note they might have left for us. Each day brought new adventures, with the elves leading us on special holiday missions.
One day, Cookie seemed to be in a bit of a dilemma: his hat was missing! Noodle sent us on a special mission: “Find his hat, please!” The children were excited to accept the challenge, searching around the room for Cookie's missing accessory. With each clue, they worked together to problem-solve and share their thoughts. As the days went on, our classroom was filled with laughter, wonder, and holiday magic. The elves not only brought joy and excitement to our mornings, but also taught us valuable lessons in friendship, empathy, and the importance of helping one another. It was a time for the children to express their feelings, engage in imaginative play, and create lasting memories together. Every day we were excited to see what Cookie and Noodle got up to, we never knew what to expect, but it was always full of magic and fun!
