The month of June our group 3 children have been working on coasters for their Father’s Day gift. It all started when Cristina posed forward the question about what the group might think would be a good idea to create for their father’s or that special figure in their life. The group decided on something that can be used over and over again, but still has a meaningful aspect to it as well. They landed on coasters as this can be used on a daily use. Ella mentioned “I want it to be customized for my dad.” They chose paint colors in which represented their father’s and added some of their favourite items and words representing them using stencils that have customization of a Father’s Day theme they choose which one represented their father or wording they liked. Some of our children even just wrote with markers of how much their dad meant to them. It was great to see the creativity of each individual coaster come together. This is a gift that it used year-round and memories that last forever!
