Fall Wreaths

School-age 3

This September, our Group 3 children have been busy creating beautiful fall wreaths using a variety of loose part materials. Our group has a strong passion for arts and crafts, and this project was the perfect opportunity to get creative and express that love.

It all began with Nora, one of the newest members of our after-school program, who wanted to make a special fall wreath for Kelsey and Cristina. The project started with simple paper plates and paint. Each child decorated their plate with colors, patterns, and fall themes of their choosing. From there, they added unique touches using leaves, beads, stones, and more — carefully attaching each piece with hot glue.

Nora shared her own creative twist, saying, “I’m going to make one for my brother and add googly eyes to the leaves for a realistic look!” Her imagination inspired others to personalize their wreaths in fun and thoughtful ways.

It’s been a wonderful way to kick off the school year in Group 3, and we’re so proud of everyone’s creativity and enthusiasm.
